Verratti's Camp Wants to Renegotiate, Al-Ahli Looking Elsewhere

Marco Verratti might ultimately remain at PSG this season as Saudi clubs turn away from the 30-year-old Italian midfielder.

Clubs from Saudi Arabia, particularly Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli, were interested in Marco Verratti. However, the path seems to be closing. According to information from L’Équipe, a departure for Verratti doesn’t seem to be on the right track at the moment.

More recently, there have been developments in negotiations with Al-Ahli. A counter-contract proposal from Verratti’s camp was reportedly submitted, but it wasn’t well received by the Saudi club. This situation has led to a certain slowdown in negotiations, which currently seem to be at an impasse.

Despite the speculations and interests discussed, it appears that Marco Verratti doesn’t yet have a clear path toward a potential departure. Complex contract discussions and disagreements between the parties involved have dampened the prospects of an imminent transfer.
