Xavi Simons could be extending his stay at PSG for a very long term.

After playing for PSV Eindhoven and then RB Leipzig, Xavi Simons continues his development away from PSG, although he remains linked to the Parisian club. With 7 goals and 9 assists in 27 matches across all competitions this season, RB Leipzig is considering extending his loan.

Transfer market journalist Fabrizio Romano recently assured Caught Offside, saying: “PSG is very pleased with his loan at RB Leipzig, and a decision will be made this summer.” Thus, he could be loaned out again, return to PSG, or be sold.

However, according to transfer market journalist Ekrem Konu, the decision has been made: an extension at PSG until 2028. A very long-term contract indeed. But just a small extension of one season. Because Xavi Simons is currently under contract with PSG… until 2027.

PSG Inside news, on the other hand, remains more measured. “PSG, and particularly Luis Enrique, want to keep him for the next season. They currently have no plans to sell him. As for the player, he is torn between his love for Paris Saint-Germain and the fact that he has adapted to the German club and the Bundesliga. Whatever happens, the player will be happy,” assures this insider.

PSG will not let the player go for less than 85 million euros. Another loan could also be considered. In short, everything is still possible.
