Julian Alvarez, a target of PSG, has ultimately joined Atlético Madrid.

This time, it’s final. Julian Alvarez, the 24-year-old Argentine striker under contract with Manchester City until 2028, will not be signing with Paris Saint-Germain during this summer transfer window of 2024.

The Parisian club had even made an offer, taking advantage of the player’s dissatisfaction with his role at the English club. However, Atlético Madrid managed to secure the deal after a minor hiccup regarding salary.

Journalists Fabrizio Romano and Ben Jacobs recently confirmed that everything is now settled with the Spanish club. “Julián Álvarez to Atlético Madrid, it’s done! Agreement reached for a fixed fee of 75 million euros, plus 20 million euros in bonuses,” announced Fabrizio Romano.

A Record Sale

Julian Alvarez accepted the five-year contract proposal after discussions with his agent Hidalgo. Manchester City, which had signed Julian Alvarez for approximately 15 million euros, thus achieves a record sale with this 95 million euro package.
