João Neves, the 19-year-old defensive midfielder under contract with Benfica until 2028 and a Portuguese international, is edging closer to joining Paris Saint-Germain.

According to L’Équipe, significant progress has been made in the negotiations, with an offer nearing 70 million euros, although a final agreement has yet to be reached.

“PSG denied on Wednesday having sent a written offer to Benfica for the midfielder but confirmed discussions. The dialogue between the two clubs revolved around a proposal of 70 million euros (60+10). Paris hopes to finalize this signing soon, but as of Wednesday evening, Benfica had not yet accepted,” reports L’Équipe.
