Kylian Mbappé has refused to extend his contract with PSG, which is set to expire on June 30, 2024. Both PSG and Real Madrid are now feeling the pressure as negotiations continue.

According to ESPN, Real Madrid is taking its time in handling the Mbappé transfer, but they have also set a deadline for finalizing the deal – August 12, which is the day La Liga resumes for the new season.

Before this deadline, an official offer could potentially be submitted to PSG’s management. While PSG is hoping for and demanding 250 million euros for the transfer, it’s possible that a deal could be reached at around 230 million euros.

Rodrigo Fáez from ESPN reports that if Real Madrid and PSG can reach an agreement this summer, Kylian Mbappé will be offered a contract extension until 2029. The coming days will be crucial in determining whether the long-awaited transfer to Real Madrid will materialize or if Mbappé will stay with PSG beyond his current contract.
