While French newspaper Le Parisien asserts Kylian Mbappé’s decision to join Real Madrid this summer, the player himself has not officially announced anything yet.
RMC Sport remains cautious, stating that nothing is confirmed. Allegedly, a pact was made last summer, with Mbappé promising to inform PSG of his decision before making it public.
Real Madrid is far from declaring victory. According to journalist Fred Hermel, despite their confidence, the club remembers the reversal of events in May 2022 when Mbappé ultimately chose to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
“We don’t want to get too excited; Real will not come out too strongly, that’s for sure,” warned the Spanish football specialist on RMC. “Real is waiting for Mbappé to officially announce his decision, talk to PSG, and then they will discuss whether Mbappé wants to come to Real. There is a lot of tranquility on the side of Real Madrid. We don’t want to appear too assertive right away and have a last-minute change of mind from Mbappé and be ridiculed once again.”
