Real Madrid Awaits a Sign from Mbappé… but May Lack Funds

As Kylian Mbappé, the 24-year-old forward from Paris Saint-Germain, approaches the end of his contract in June, he stands at a crossroads, but the door to Real Madrid seems less open.

A few days ago, Real Madrid released a statement to affirm that there were no direct negotiations with Kylian Mbappé. Is the Spanish club losing interest? According to RMC Sport, that seems to be the case.

Real Madrid reportedly abandoned the Mbappé deal due to financial constraints. Despite being one of the most prestigious clubs globally, Real Madrid appears to be facing budgetary limitations that led to a reassessment of the possibility of acquiring Mbappé.

The club is also hesitant to jeopardize the financial balance of its locker room by bringing in Mbappé with his massive salary compared to other team stars. Additionally, investments in the new stadium are weighing on finances, with a repayment of over a billion euros looming.

“If Mbappé wants to come, he should do the job,” said a source from Real Madrid to RMC Sport. Increasingly, people within the club seem to prefer the Erling Haaland option. “On the Madrid side, things are clear: it’s not Real who will revive Mbappé; it’s up to the French forward to come back to Real if he wants,” RMC Sport assures.
