Kylian Mbappé is set to join Real Madrid next season, but the Spanish club is facing a major obstacle, and PSG might delay the official announcement.

What if PSG throws a wrench in Real Madrid’s plans? According to AS, Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappé have arranged for a smooth transition with PSG. No flashy declarations, and no mention of Real Madrid, at least until June 3rd.

Firstly, because Real Madrid will be playing in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund on June 1st. This would allow two days for celebration in case of victory.

PSG Might File a Complaint

Secondly, to avoid conflict with PSG, which has Mbappé under contract until June 30th. PSG is unlikely to be accommodating. The club might even file a complaint if Real Madrid introduces the player before that date.

If Paris eventually gives the green light, Kylian Mbappé will also need approval from the French national team to travel to Madrid during the week of June 3rd to 9th, just before the Euro and during preparations. A challenging situation indeed.
