Kylian Mbappé could secure a massive bonus from Real Madrid in the event of winning the Ballon d’Or.

Kylian Mbappé is in intense negotiations with Real Madrid, covering every detail and bonus. According to L’Équipe, Mbappé is expected to receive an annual gross salary ranging from 30 to 35 million euros in Madrid, along with a signing bonus estimated between 100 and 130 million euros. These figures do not include the income associated with his image rights, which is still being negotiated between the two parties.

According to El Chiringuito and AS, an agreement is imminent to allocate 80% of the French player’s image rights to him, leaving only 20% with Real Madrid. This amount would serve as an additional form of remuneration on top of his salary.

15 Times More Than Benzema

However, it’s worth noting that this agreement would only apply to contracts signed after his arrival at Real Madrid. Mbappé’s current contracts, signed while he was at PSG, would remain unchanged. This concession by Real Madrid represents a departure from its usual policy, which typically limits the cession of image rights to 50%. One of the rare exceptions to this rule dates back to 2009 when Cristiano Ronaldo secured… 60% of his image rights. Thus, Kylian Mbappé already seems to surpass his idol in this regard.

But that’s not all. According to Foot Mercato, Mbappé has also negotiated a huge bonus… Ballon d’Or. “He will receive a bonus in the event of winning the Ballon d’Or. A trophy that Kylian Mbappé, third in the last edition, covets,” FM assures. It would be, brace yourselves… approximately 15 million euros. For comparison, Karim Benzema had received 1 million euros when he won the award in 2022.
