The RB Leipzig is hoping to retain Xavi Simons for another season. The German club’s sporting director reiterates his request.

Xavi Simons is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2027. He has been loaned to RB Leipzig this season. The German club has expressed its desire to keep the Dutch player, creating suspense about his future.

This Friday, RB Leipzig’s sporting director, Rouven Schröder, reiterated to Sky his intention to keep Xavi Simons. The possibility of the young player extending his stay at RB Leipzig remains open, as negotiations and future decisions will be eagerly awaited.

Rouven Schröder, Leipzig’s sporting director, once again spoke on the subject to Sky Germany: “Of course, we would like to keep Xavi Simons with us for another year. If he wishes and PSG agrees, we are completely open to the idea!”

However, PSG seems to want to bring Xavi Simons back next season to make him one of its key players, alongside Warren Zaïre Emery. But they will need to convince the player, who seemingly waited for the opportunity. It’s timely, as Kylian Mbappé is leaving.
