This Monday, July 31st, is the deadline for Kylian Mbappé to decide whether or not to activate his contract extension with PSG until 2025: last hours under pressure.
Despite the ultimatum set by PSG to expire tonight at midnight, Kylian Mbappé has not changed his mind and does not appear ready to sign the contract extension offered by the club.
PSG will now open negotiations for a transfer and expects to receive an offer from Real Madrid. However, the initial offer is expected to be “insulting,” according to RMC. Nonetheless, Paris Saint-Germain continues to downplay the importance of the last day of July in the Kylian Mbappé saga.
According to the club, the forward has been officially put up for sale since he was not included in the squad for the summer tour of Japan and South Korea two weeks ago. PSG’s executives are convinced that Mbappé already has an agreement with Real Madrid to join the Spanish club for free next summer.
As of now, RMC reports that “no discussion on this matter has taken place with Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. In the PSG’s response letter, the executives proposed a meeting with their star player. However, he never responded. According to the club, a proposal for a sales commitment clause for next summer was submitted to him, but Mbappé refused.”
