Paris Saint-Germain is already shaping its squad for next season, securing the arrival of young goalkeeper Renato Marin.
According to Le Parisien, the 18-year-old Italo-Brazilian shot-stopper from AS Roma will join PSG on a five-year deal this summer, as his contract with the Italian club expires in June.
Despite not yet making a senior appearance for Roma, Marin was highly sought after, with Liverpool among the clubs interested. “Renato Marin has officially signed with PSG for next season. Many clubs were after him, even though he was only Roma’s third-choice keeper. He will sign a five-year contract starting July 1, 2025,” confirmed PSG Inside Actus on X.
What Does This Mean for Donnarumma?
With four goalkeepers already on PSG’s books (Donnarumma, Safonov, Tenas, and Lavallée), departures are expected. Arnau Tenas could be loaned out, while Lucas Lavallée is also a potential exit.
The biggest question mark remains over Gianluigi Donnarumma, whose future is uncertain despite being under contract until 2026. PSG is reportedly considering a long-term replacement, with LOSC’s Lucas Chevalier identified as the club’s top target. Talks are said to be progressing.
However, Donnarumma has no plans to leave, recently stating that “Paris is my home”. This transfer saga could be one to watch in the coming months.
