Paris Saint-Germain is looking to strengthen its midfield, and Bruno Guimarães appears to be the top priority, according to various sources.

With inconsistent performances from Ugarte, the injury to Zaire Emery, and Fabian Ruiz being unavailable, PSG acknowledges the need for midfield reinforcements.

According to ESPN Brazil, Bruno Guimarães, a 26-year-old midfielder currently playing for Newcastle (contract until 2028) and a Brazilian international, is a priority target to bolster PSG’s midfield.

Additionally, PSG Inside Actus on X confirms this rumor but suggests that PSG is likely to make a move only in the upcoming summer transfer window. “Paris Saint-Germain tried to make a move before he signed with Newcastle. There were even initial contacts with his agent. PSG will probably attempt to sign him, but during the summer transfer window and not the winter one, as the asking price is deemed too high,” states this well-informed source.
