PSG is targeting a defensive reinforcement in the winter transfer window, specifically a left-sided central defender, according to Jérôme Rothen.
No full-back is being recruited, but the club has allegedly identified a player for the central defender role. Due to Nuno Mendes’ extended absence, expected to return in March after hamstring surgery, French international Lucas Hernandez has been playing at the left-back position, leaving his natural central defender position somewhat lacking in options.
According to Jérôme Rothen on RMC, the deal is concluded, and everything is in order for the arrival of a left-sided central defender, possibly a left-back, during the winter transfer window.
This move aims to address Nuno Mendes’ injuries and the gradual return of Presnel Kimpembe, with the goal of adding experience to PSG’s defensive line.
