Things are not going well at Barça: disappointed, Frenkie de Jong could leave during the next summer transfer window.

Barça’s sporting director, Deco, was clear-cut. During an interview yesterday on Esport3, he firmly ruled out any sale of Frenkie de Jong: “It would be a mistake to sell Frenkie de Jong and Ronald Araújo for Kylian Mbappé. It would make the team worse.”

However, behind the scenes, the player is reportedly pushing for a departure. According to Esport3, FC Barcelona could find themselves forced to sell him next summer, a prospect that would not displease the Dutch midfielder. Although under contract until 2026, De Jong would be open to leaving the club.

Esport3 reveals that De Jong is deeply disappointed with the situation at the club since his arrival. In the event of a departure, he would seek to join a competitive team in the Champions League, a title he believes is out of reach for Barça. This is a dream for the player, which he does not think he can achieve in Barcelona.

According to AS, PSG is ready to seize this opportunity. The club is considering making an offer to the player and Barça next summer transfer window. However, PSG will not be alone in the race, as Chelsea is reported to have already prepared an offer of €100 million.
