PSG has not lost out on Bernardo Silva yet

Bernardo Silva

h2>Bernardo Silva: PSG continues to negotiate for a potential signing, but the deal is no longer a priority, according to PSG Inside Actus.

The Bernardo Silva deal is not closed yet: PSG still hopes to sign the Manchester City player. But if it doesn’t happen, it won’t be a disaster. The player continues to discuss with PSG as well as with FC Barcelona. However, new suitors have recently emerged, notably from Saudi Arabia, according to PSG Inside Actus.

Meanwhile, PSG remains calm and no longer makes Bernardo Silva its priority. The club has already made an offer to the player and does not plan to increase it.

Release clause… only in 2025

According to English journalist Ben Jacobs, Bernardo Silva’s release clause will only be effective from the summer of 2025, thus complicating current negotiations. Manchester City, having no obligation to lower its price this year, could demand a higher sum, estimated at 75 million euros. However, other sources mention a sum of 60 million euros.

However, the situation would be much more favorable for Barça: according to the Catalan public television TV3, Bernardo Silva has indeed included a special clause for Barça in his extension with City. The Spanish club could pay the amount in three installments of 19 million euros per season, whereas release clauses are usually paid in one go.

PSG won’t have this possibility. So, Barça has a good chance to outbid Paris. But it remains to be seen what Hansi Flick wants to do. The German coach would be very, very favorable to it…
