Riccardo Calafiori, one of the revelations of Euro 2024, has caught the attention of several top European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

The 22-year-old Italian talent, who can play as a central defender or left-back, is currently under contract with Bologna until 2027 and has sparked interest from multiple football giants.

According to PSG Inside Actus, several clubs are competing to sign Calafiori, namely Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Bayer Leverkusen. However, Arsenal appears to be leading the race. Journalist Fabrizio Romano confirms that the Gunners are prepared to step up their efforts to secure the Italian defender.

As of now, PSG has not submitted a concrete offer. While the Parisian club is keen on Calafiori, it remains to be seen if they will take decisive action with an official bid. The upcoming days could be pivotal, especially if PSG opts to accelerate negotiations.

Arsenal, already ahead in this pursuit, may finalize the deal swiftly. The next week is crucial to determine Calafiori’s future. PSG, despite being in contention, faces fierce competition and must act quickly to outmaneuver the Gunners. Arsenal’s strong relationship with Bologna could tilt the scales, with the potential transfer fee rumored around 50 million euros.
