Nico Williams, the Spanish player, is on PSG’s list for the summer transfer window. His price has increased due to… inflation.

Nico Williams to PSG is heating up. The Bilbao player has a release clause set at 58 million euros. However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the price is expected to increase for interested clubs.

This increase is because Nico Williams’ fee will be indexed to the consumer price index (CPI) due to inflation in Spain. Therefore, an additional 4 million euros will need to be added to his price.

In total, it will be 62 million euros to secure one of the revelations of Euro 2024. PSG should have no issues paying this amount. For Barça, it will be even more challenging.

Nico Williams to Decide

The next step is to convince Nico Williams. The player has not yet decided on his future, but he reportedly has a slight preference for staying in Spain. The decision, however, should not take too long.
