PSG has sold Neymar to Al-Hilal for around 100 million euros, including bonuses: a historic deal for the club.
Purchased for 222 million euros in 2017. Sold for 100 million euros (including bonuses) six years later, when almost nobody wanted him anymore. A feat for PSG? Indeed, the 31-year-old player seemed nearly impossible to transfer due to his enormous salary.
But PSG also managed to close a historic sale, as it is the highest in the club’s history. Paris buys expensively, but sells for high prices… Gonçalo Guedes, sold to FC Valencia for 40 million euros in 2018, held the previous record.
With this money, PSG is expected to recruit again. Bernardo Silva is the main target, but the transfer seems almost impossible as Manchester City is closing the door.
