The president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, has responded to Real Madrid’s statement regarding Kylian Mbappé in an interview with the Italian press.

“In view of the information recently issued and published by various media outlets speculating about alleged negotiations between the player Kylian Mbappé and our club, Real Madrid C.F. wishes to state categorically that this information is completely false, and no such negotiations have taken place with a player belonging to PSG,” reads Real Madrid’s statement.

The brief statement from Real Madrid was seemingly aimed at legal protection. Currently, the Spanish club is not allowed to negotiate without going through PSG. They can only do so starting on January 1 if Mbappé has not extended his contract by then.

La Gazzetta dello Sport discussed this matter with PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. He commented on Real Madrid’s statement, saying, “I haven’t seen their statement. We are all focused on ourselves and our football, not on others. Kylian continues to achieve great things, and maybe people take him for granted, but no one has played two World Cup finals and even scored a hat-trick. I repeat: Kylian is the best in the world; it’s fantastic to see him leading PSG and France. He has a positive impact on our young talents and helps us build our future.”

“More than a revolution, it’s an evolution. We aim for the top, always seeking improvement and growth. New foundations need time, a goal, patience, and perseverance. A project is built with a plan, not just a few sprints. We have a new long-term philosophy focused on the collective, rather than individuals. Today, I like to watch PSG, just as I believe our fans do. It’s the right approach with the new training center, the best in the world, the best in the world: it’s a boost for the future.”
