Mbappé Must Break the Silence for the Good of PSG, French Journalist Daniel Riolo says

On RMC, Daniel Riolo argues that Kylian Mbappé is causing harm to PSG with his precarious situation.

Mbappé will be free on January 1st. Not free to leave PSG, but free to negotiate with the club of his choice, without going through the Parisian management. However, for Daniel Riolo, it’s especially the player’s deafening silence that is problematic.

“He had a mediocre second half of the season with PSG. He experienced a summer managed painfully, even though I’ve always said that the fault was certainly more on the side of the club than his, he has not been totally perfect either. I think it’s more the club that messed up than him, but he has never spoken. It’s been a year since he hasn’t spoken. Even with the French national team, in the last gatherings, he didn’t speak even though he is the captain and he skipped press conferences.”

“With PSG, he doesn’t speak, with the Blues, he stopped speaking. He’s afraid of being asked questions. Before, he was a guy who was afraid of nothing, castigates the editorialist on RMC airwaves this Tuesday night. (…) His popularity rating in France, I had never seen a player with so much potential and ability be so disliked. I don’t understand, but he must have something to do with it.”

“It’s as if he’s looking for it. (…) Come and say that you’re not in shape, that you’re frustrated not to have your level and that’s why you sulked the last time… Speak, Kylian! Because right now, frankly, this story is turning into a disaster,” says Daniel Riolo.
