Kylian Mbappé had given his word: to inform PSG first of his choice, whether to stay or leave. A man-to-man agreement between the player and President Nasser al-Khelaïfi was sealed last summer after several weeks of negotiations.
Since then, everyone has been awaiting the decision. According to Le Parisien, it seems to have been made: Kylian Mbappé will leave PSG. However, RMC Sport reports that PSG has not been informed. “Paris is not aware of its striker’s choice,” states this source.
Real Madrid is, of course, trying to recruit the French forward, but as of now, no decision has been communicated to PSG’s executives. PSG is offering a substantial contract extension to the player: over 100 million euros per season. This tempting proposal may lead Mbappé to reconsider his decision.
