Kylian Mbappé’s future at PSG remains uncertain, and tensions between the player and the club are escalating, with reports suggesting legal action may be on the horizon.

Despite signing a contract extension last summer, Mbappé is keen on leaving and has chosen not to activate the remaining year of his contract. PSG’s decision to exclude him from the preseason training camp in Japan and South Korea has further strained the relationship and could lead to significant consequences.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mbappé is considering taking legal action against PSG if he continues to be sidelined.

Philippe Piat, president of the UNFP (National Union of Professional Footballers), asserts that if Mbappé remains with PSG but is excluded from the professional squad, he has the right to take the matter to employment tribunals for restricting his freedom to work.

As of September 1st, PSG will be obligated to reinstate Mbappé, should he still be with the club. Piat added, “The tribunal can decide to terminate the contract due to the employer’s fault. It’s incredible that someone like Mbappé, who has honored his contract until the end, is being treated this way. It’s simply unacceptable,” as stated in L’Equipe.
