Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is gearing up for an active winter transfer window with plans to strengthen its squad, particularly in midfield and defense. President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, present in Dortmund for PSG’s 1-1 draw and qualification on Wednesday, hinted at potential winter signings.

“I don’t know, there are still a few weeks ahead of us; we’ll see,” said Al-Khelaïfi with a sly smile, not ruling out significant moves in the transfer market.

The club’s focus reportedly lies on securing an experienced defensive midfielder to bolster the midfield. Additionally, PSG is eyeing reinforcements in the attacking department, with a striker on the radar. In defense, sources suggest that an agreement has already been reached with an experienced central defender, aiming to fortify a line that has faced occasional uncertainties and notable injuries.

Regarding Warren Zaïre-Emery, Al-Khelaïfi stated, “He said it himself, he is Parisian and wants to stay here,” hinting at a possible contract extension for the 17-year-old midfielder.

On the departure front, PSG is actively looking to sell or loan out Hugo Ekitike and Layvin Kurzawa. Keylor Navas is also available for transfer, and if not sold, Arnau Tenas could be loaned out. Other players, including Carlos Soler, might also find themselves on the move.
