Lille Closes the Door on Leny Yoro, No Sale to PSG This Winter

Leny Yoro

Leny Yoro, central defender for Lille and under contract until 2025, will not be leaving, asserts the club’s president, Olivier Létang.

Olivier Létang, president of LOSC, revealed in Le Parisien that Leny Yoro will not be departing the club in January. “He will not leave in January, so there is no negotiation, no discussion contrary to what some may suggest!”

According to RMC Sport, there is yet to be an agreement with the player. PSG is looking to secure a paid loan with an option to buy. While LOSC is not naturally inclined to sell, the door is not necessarily closed. “First, an agreement must be reached with the player, now represented by Jorge Mendes. This doesn’t seem insurmountable for Paris. Leny Yoro is not indifferent to the interest of the French champions, but other top clubs are also following him,” RMC Sport assures.

Next, convincing Lille is necessary. The club could still be open to a transfer for over 50 million euros. PSG, initially intending to offer only 20 million euros, will have to increase its bid. However, “PSG is also exploring other options for this position,” concludes RMC Sport.
