According to Le Parisien, President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi played a significant role in three major transfer deals this summer: Kolo Muani, Dembélé, and… Simons.
Nasser Al-Khelaïfi had to get his hands dirty this summer. PSG faced some challenges in securing a few signings, and there were disagreements with Luis Campos, the sporting advisor. This was notably the case for the Dembélé and Kolo Muani deals. However, according to Le Parisien, the PSG president had the final say.
In June, he initiated the effort to bring Randal Kolo Muani to PSG. The deal was finalized in the last hours of the transfer window with a decisive intervention by NAK (Nasser Al-Khelaïfi), as reported by Le Parisien. He was also tasked with convincing Xavi Simons to return to PSG. The young Dutchman was subsequently loaned to Leipzig.
Although not a priority for Luis Campos, Al-Khelaïfi was also responsible for negotiating the transfer of Dembélé. Thus, the PSG president played a role in several key transactions for the club during the summer transfer window.
