Joshua Kimmich Open to Leaving Bayern, PSG on Top of the List
Joshua Kimmich discussed his future on Sky Germany this weekend: while he assures that he is happy at Bayern, behind the scenes, he is preparing to leave.
With Kylian Mbappé’s imminent departure at the end of his contract, PSG is considering strengthening… in midfield. And PSG’s executives are considering Bruno Guimaraes or Joshua Kimmich. The latter, whose contract with Bayern Munich ends in June 2025, might be tempted.
Tracked by PSG as well as FC Barcelona, Joshua Kimmich doesn’t want to say too much about his future and says he’s fully focused on Bayern Munich. “I still have over a year left on my contract and no one has spoken to me yet. I’m relaxed. I want to show the best of myself for this club and then we’ll see what happens,” Kimmich told Sky Sport Deutschland. But does he feel good at Bayern Munich? Rumors of tensions circulate, especially with his coach, Thomas Tuchel. “Sure, I’m happy here, I’m happy with the club and the city, of course.”
However, according to PSG Inside on X, “the player is seriously considering leaving and is ‘inquiring with interested clubs’.” According to this source, Kimmich “would like to discover a new league and Paris Saint-Germain has already approached his representatives after asking the club’s permission if they could start discussions. These are just initial approaches. But today, there is indeed interest from both sides.”
However, PSG faces competition from FC Barcelona and Chelsea. But the advantage is that the player and his wife love Paris.
