PSG still hopes to part ways with Hugo Ekitike, but negotiations with Frankfurt are proving to be challenging.

Several clubs, including Wolfsburg, Wolverhampton, and Eintracht Frankfurt, have shown interest in Hugo Ekitike during this winter transfer window.

Currently in sixth place in the Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt is reported to have reached an agreement with Ekitike. The player is said to have accepted a reduction in his salary. However, negotiations between the two clubs have hit a snag.

According to Bild, Frankfurt is unwilling to spend too much and is prepared to offer between 15 and 18 million euros. This figure falls short for PSG, which spent 36 million euros to acquire him from Reims.

An operation in the form of a loan with an option to buy has been under consideration since the start of negotiations. However, an agreement on the amount has yet to be reached. As of now, no deal has been finalized.
