FC Barcelona is considering recruiting Luis Enrique as early as this summer: in response, PSG will offer an extension to their coach.
Warning signs: Barcelona wants to bring back Luis Enrique, especially since Xavi will be leaving the club at the end of the season. The Spanish coach of PSG is being courted by Joan Laporta, but PSG, very satisfied with their coach, has other plans.
According to Le 10 Sport and the Spanish press, Paris intends to extend their coach’s contract, currently valid until June 2025. “The Parisian club wants to initiate discussions with the coach to activate the optional year they have until 2026,” assures Mundo Deportivo.
Internally in Paris, Luis Enrique has impressed, especially in the Champions League: “He approaches these kinds of events with absolute serenity because he has the necessary experience and has been facing these situations for over ten years. Undoubtedly, this reflects on the players,” explains a close associate of the group. “Even when he wants to send a message to a player, it usually happens without raising his voice.”
