Arsenal has entered serious negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for the transfer of Fabián Ruiz.

The London club, seeking to bolster its midfield, is considering a one-year loan with an obligation to buy for the Spanish international.

To finalize this transfer, Arsenal will first need to offload one of its current midfielders. The club aims to create space and free up funds to accommodate Fabián Ruiz. Manager Mikel Arteta sees Ruiz as a key player capable of adding creativity and stability to his midfield.

However, Ruiz may not receive preferential treatment at PSG. Despite his impressive performance at the Euros with Spain, he will have to navigate the current transfer market. PSG is still looking to sign João Neves and Joshua Kimmich, which could result in the departure of the Spanish international. PSG might also benefit from Ruiz’s rising market value following Spain’s victory at the Euros.

PSG Staff Wants to Keep Him, but…

Spanish coach Luis Enrique would like to retain Fabián Ruiz, but PSG may not pass up a lucrative sale this summer. According to PSG Inside Actus, there are even significant disagreements within the Parisian management. “Dilemma at Paris Saint-Germain. The management wants to sell the player and take advantage of his excellent Euros to get a good price, while the Parisian staff hopes to keep him.” It remains to be seen, but Arsenal’s offer could be the right one.
