Marco Verratti is set to leave Qatar and make his return to Europe this summer.
The former PSG midfielder, currently playing for Al-Arabi, sees his contract expire in June, with no extension in sight. According to Calciomercato and Mundo Deportivo, he has plenty of suitors, including Inter Milan, as well as clubs from the Premier League and La Liga.
Interest Beyond Europe
Verratti is also being monitored by South American giants, with Flamengo and Corinthians keeping a close eye on his situation. Since he will be a free agent, there is no transfer fee involved.
A Major Salary Obstacle
However, his €30M per year salary remains a major hurdle. If he wants to join a top European club, the Italian midfielder will likely need to accept a pay cut.
