Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is determined to stay at the club despite the recruitment of Russian competitor Matvey Safonov.
PSG is set to bolster its goalkeeper position next season. Paris Saint-Germain is on the verge of reaching a major agreement with Krasnodar for the acquisition of Matvey Safonov.
All conditions have been finalized with the Russian club as well as with the player. Safonov is expected to sign a contract that will tie him to PSG until 2029, strengthening the goalkeeper position of the Parisian club, with increased competition for Donnarumma.

Gianluigi Donnarumma has faced recurring criticism from supporters and observers since his arrival in 2021. With a contract until 2026, the Italian’s situation is commented on by his agent Enzo Raiola, who was a guest on Radio Esportiva. There’s no question of leaving despite the arrival of the Russian.
“His future is at PSG. The club is very happy with him, both concerning the president and Campos. The project is medium and long-term, and we hope that winning the Champions League can happen.”
