Didier Deschamps, the head coach of the French national team, has expressed his openness to the idea of coaching Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the future.
After having captained Marseille, would he consider coaching their fierce rival? Didier Deschamps isn’t ruling it out. In an interview with L’Équipe, Deschamps mentioned the possibility of one day coaching PSG.
“Coaching PSG? I’m not closing the door, I will be available. But I have nothing in mind right now. Depending on the offers, I will choose. I don’t rule anything out,” said Deschamps.
This statement shows that Deschamps remains flexible about his future coaching decisions, even though he is currently focused on his role with the French national team through the 2026 World Cup. After that, he will step down, but at PSG, it will be a waiting game, as Luis Enrique has just signed an extension until 2027. So, a bit of time to rest before potentially taking on that challenge.
