Bernardo Silva extended his contract with Manchester City after a lot of suspense and persistent courting by PSG. Did he ever truly want to come?

Many PSG supporters dreamed of Bernardo Silva joining their club, but the Portuguese midfielder ultimately extended his contract with Manchester City until 2025. The English club reportedly shut the door on any departure for the player, but an affordable release clause of around €60 million was said to have been included in his contract.

However, according to @PSGInside_Actus on Twitter, it appears unlikely that Bernardo Silva will join PSG in the upcoming transfer windows.

“Bernardo Silva, it’s practically dead for the next transfer windows. Nasser (al-Khelaïfi, PSG President) thinks that the Portuguese used the club to secure an extension,” PSG Inside Actus stated on Twitter.
