Paris Saint-Germain is competing with Bayern Munich to secure the services of Rennes midfielder Désiré Doué in this summer transfer window. Doué, 19, featured in 31 matches and scored 4 goals in Ligue 1 during the 2023-2024 season.
Despite an initial offer of €50 million, including €10 million in bonuses, the French champions have yet to reach an agreement with the Breton club, which is hoping to receive €60 million for the transfer.
Meanwhile, PSG is striving to persuade the young talent to choose Paris over the German team. According to The Athletic, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is personally involved in the discussions to finalize Doué’s recruitment. Currently, PSG remains confident about the outcome of this deal.
