Lucas Hernandez is the 4th signing announced by PSG this Sunday: The French International signs for five seasons, until 2028.

“Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announce the arrival of Lucas Hernandez. The French international defender has signed a five-year contract with the club,” PSG announced.

“Paris Saint-Germain welcomes another World Cup champion to its squad. Lucas Hernandez, an international player for France since March 2018, played a crucial role in the remarkable journey of Didier Deschamps’ team, who were crowned world champions a few months later in Russia. Starting in every match of the World Cup, the left-footed defender also provided two assists. The first assist came in the Round of 16 against Argentina (4-3 victory), and the other in the final against Croatia (4-2 victory). At the age of 27, the older brother of Théo Hernández has now made 33 appearances for the national team and added a victory in the UEFA Nations League in 2021 to his international honors. However, Lucas Hernández has not played for the national team since suffering a serious injury against Australia in the first match of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar,” PSG stated in its press release.

“I feel a lot of joy! I’ve been looking forward to joining PSG for a while now, and it has finally happened. It’s a very special day for me, and I’m very happy to be here,” said Lucas Hernandez.
