Bernardo Silva is Targeted by PSG, but FC Barcelona Could Also Sign the Manchester City Player with a Significant Advantage.

Bernardo Silva to PSG? Not so fast… The Portuguese forward from Manchester City could be on the move this summer, with both PSG and Barça vying for his signature. According to English journalist Ben Jacobs, Bernardo Silva’s release clause will only become effective in the summer of 2025, complicating current negotiations. Manchester City, having no obligation to lower their price this year, could demand a higher fee, estimated at €75 million. Other sources suggest a sum closer to €60 million.

However, the situation is much more favorable for Barça. According to Catalan public television TV3, Bernardo Silva included a special Barça clause during his contract extension with City. This clause allows the Spanish club to pay the transfer fee in three installments of €19 million per season, whereas release clauses are typically paid in a single payment.

PSG does not have this option. Therefore, Barça has a significant advantage over Paris. However, the final decision will depend on what Hansi Flick wants to do. The German coach is reportedly very much in favor of the move…

The battle for Bernardo Silva’s signature is set to be an intriguing one, with both clubs pulling out all the stops to secure the talented playmaker.
