Barcelona does not rule out offering a contract to Luis Enrique if Xavi ends up leaving.

Despite the statements from the president of FC Barcelona, who asserts that Luis Enrique is not targeted to replace Xavi, internally it’s a completely different story.

The coach, whose contract runs until June 2025, has ruled out any possibility of joining FC Barcelona this summer. But according to information reported by the newspaper Mundo Deportivo on Thursday, if FC Barcelona prioritizes keeping Xavi, Luis Enrique is still firmly in their sights.

As a former member of the club, the Parisian is widely appreciated for his qualities, and his integration would be swift.

But Luis Enrique has assured that he will honor his contract, as he has always done. In his considerations for the coaching market, the reigning Spanish champion is also exploring two other options: Hans-Dieter Flick, available, and Rafael Márquez, currently in charge of the reserve team.
