Luis Campos has identified António Silva as a potential alternative if negotiations for Leny Yoro fall through, aiming to bolster PSG’s defense next season.

According to Sports Zone on X, Luis Campos has set his sights on António Silva should the deal for Leny Yoro not materialize. As of now, no agreement has been reached, but Silva is open to a departure after this summer’s Euro tournament. Additionally, Jorge Mendes is keen on placing a defender at Paris Saint-Germain during this transfer window.

However, France Bleu journalist Julien Froment contradicts this information, stating, “Despite undeniable qualities, Antonio Silva is not on PSG’s shortlist in case the Leny Yoro deal fails, which is indeed being closely followed by Paris. If Yoro is not possible, other avenues will be pursued, outside of Mendes’ stable,” he assures on X.

PSG Lagging Behind on Yoro

Leny Yoro, an 18-year-old central defender from Lille with a contract until 2025, is caught between two clubs. PSG and Real Madrid are in a tug-of-war to sign the promising LOSC talent.

According to PSG Inside Actus, Paris Saint-Germain has taken concrete steps forward. A meeting has been organized with Lille to discuss the terms of the transfer, including the fee and associated bonuses. PSG appears determined to secure Yoro despite fierce competition from other prestigious clubs.

“Recently, a phone meeting took place between PSG management, Jorge Mendes, and #LOSC for Leny #Yoro. The player has received a firm offer from the Parisian club. During this meeting, PSG and Lille discussed the potential cost of the player and bonuses,” PSG Inside Actus reports on X.

The situation remains dynamic as PSG navigates through their defensive recruitment strategy, keeping both Silva and Yoro as viable options depending on how negotiations unfold in the coming weeks of the summer transfer window.
