It’s crunch time for Kylian Mbappé: PSG is reportedly preparing a historic offer according to the Spanish press.

Will he extend his contract or leave this summer? PSG has not changed its stance, and Kylian Mbappé now has until the end of July to make a decision. Currently, the player earns €70 million gross per year and received a bonus of €100 million during his last contract extension. He is expected to receive nearly €80 million more in September.

PSG is piling up the millions for Mbappé, and the club’s finances are at risk. According to The Athletic, if Mbappé leaves without a transfer fee, the club could face a shortfall of €175 million. This is not ideal as UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations still monitor the club closely.

On the other hand, Defensa Central claims that PSG will offer a “mega contract” worth nearly one billion euros. The contract would span ten years, although UEFA limits contracts to a maximum of five seasons. If an agreement is reached, a legal maneuver might have been found to circumvent this restriction.
