PSG barely qualified for the Champions League Round of 16, and according to Luis Enrique, the team is still in a phase of fine-tuning.

Luis Enrique promises that PSG will be stronger come February. But why? According to Le Parisien, PSG currently relies on a strong player in each position: Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, Warren Zaïre-Emery, and Kylian Mbappé. This “spine” will strengthen, with players gaining experience in each crucial match. Players like Lee Kang-In, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Randal Kolo Muani, Vitinha, and Gonçalo Ramos are still considered relatively inexperienced at the highest level.

PSG also needs to integrate new signings (Lucas Hernandez, Milan Skriniar, Lee Kang-In, Bradley Barcola, and Randal Kolo Muani). “It can only improve in two months, in mutual understanding, and in digesting Luis Enrique’s principles, a coach appreciated by the squad,” says Le Parisien. PSG is also focusing on a strong collective and has moved away from the star-studded policy by letting go of Neymar, Messi, and Verratti last summer.

Before February, PSG is expected to strengthen further in the winter transfer window, targeting a central defender, a defensive midfielder, and possibly a forward. All this to become even stronger.
