PSG left-back Nuno Mendes is set to undergo surgery in Finland, just like several other PSG players. The Parisian newspaper explains why.

PSG’s left-back Nuno Mendes will undergo surgery in Finland this Friday. He has been sidelined for several months with a hamstring ligament rupture in his right leg that occurred in July and doesn’t seem to be healing.

“After new medical examinations and a thorough review of Nuno Mendes’ situation, the medical department of Paris Saint-Germain has decided to perform surgery this Friday in Finland,” PSG announced in a statement.

Finland? Nordi Mukiele, another long-term absentee, also underwent surgery in Finland. PSG relies on the expertise of surgeon Lasse Lempainen, a world-renowned specialist in the field. However, PSG will send several members of the medical staff to accompany Nuno Mendes and oversee the procedure.
