PSG is seeking a location for its new stadium: Valérie Pécresse, President of the Île-de-France Region, has decided to take charge of the dossier.

PSG in Paris, It’s almost over. However, Valérie Pécresse is stepping up. Faced with the refusal of the City of Paris to sell the Parc des Princes, the club is looking for a new stadium. And the President of the Île-de-France Region is going to help with that.

According to France Bleu Paris, the leader has reached out to mayors to find a location for the PSG’s next stadium. “Sunday evening, the president of the region contacted via Whatsapp the mayors of the Île-de-France municipalities with more than 10,000 inhabitants willing to host the PSG’s new venue,” explains France Bleu.

Valérie Pécresse stated in her message that she believes “the place of PSG is at the Parc des Princes,” and she said that she “was approached by the club president to evaluate other sites in Île-de-France.” She specified that the search “focuses on a site of 50 hectares close to road and public transport, capable of hosting a stadium and a hotel infrastructure.”

The LR representative is therefore asking mayors who “have sufficient land reserves or buildable brownfields and are interested” to contact her before March 16th.
