Kylian Mbappé is among the most searched-for athletes on the internet, but he still has some ground to cover to surpass the two football GOATs.
A study conducted by OLBD in the UK between September 2022 and August 2023 revealed that Kylian Mbappé was the 6th most searched-for athlete on the internet. At the top of this ranking, we find Cristiano Ronaldo with 199.4 million searches in a year.
His transfer to Saudi Arabia obviously generated a surge of searches on the web, but also searches regarding his salary. Rumors suggested he would be earning an enormous salary of 400 million per season, which ultimately doesn’t seem to be the case.
In the second spot on the podium is Neymar, with 140.9 million searches, followed closely by Lionel Messi with 104.4 million.
In the fourth and fifth positions, we have LeBron James and Virat Kohli, an Indian cricket player, while Kylian Mbappé reached 63.7 million searches.
