Paris Saint-Germain announced on Wednesday evening a double piece of good news with the return to collective training of Marquinhos, the 29-year-old central defender and captain, and Warren Zaïre-Emery, the 17-year-old midfielder, although they did not participate in the entire session.

Le Parisien provided some additional details on the latter’s return, hinting at the possibility of seeing him play in 2023 and perhaps even against Borussia Dortmund in the sixth matchday of the Champions League next week, although this has not been confirmed yet.

According to Le Parisien, there is a slim hope for WZE to play earlier than expected. “For Zaïre-Emery, there is a tiny hope of seeing him back in action by the end of the year. It’s still premature to guarantee any presence in the squad in Dortmund. His recovery (running/ball work) is progressing with good sensations. The club is especially attentive to his feelings,” wrote journalist Benjamin Quarez on X.
