On January 3rd, Paris Saint-Germain will face Toulouse FC in the Trophée des Champions, but the venue is yet to be decided.

According to Le Parisien, one option being considered is the Martyrs of Pentecost Stadium in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, with a capacity of around 80,000.

If this option is unavailable, the LFP is considering Toulouse’s Stadium. However, within the LFP, there is reluctance to subject PSG to a long journey abroad.

Each club naturally prefers to play at their home stadium to avoid the opposition’s supporters’ backlash. “PSG wants to play it… in Paris. So, at the Parc des Princes. Due to the hosting of the 2024 Olympic Games and for renovation and development needs, the Stade de France is not available for football before September 2024,” explains Le Parisien.

“Toulouse, on the other hand, advocates for holding the match… in Toulouse. It has positioned itself with the LFP to host the game,” assures the newspaper.
