Kylian Mbappé was on the field for the entire match, surprising many as most key players were either rested or on the bench. However, Luis Enrique confirms that it was the player’s choice to participate in this match.
“Why not rest Kylian Mbappé? Kylian wanted to play, and when Kylian wants to play, we don’t have much to say. We can just watch, and everyone benefits – the staff, the audience, the opponent. On these decisions, the players have more say than the coach,” said the Spanish coach in a press conference.
