In a press conference following PSG’s victory over Brest on Wednesday night, Brest coach Eric Roy congratulated the Parisians and expressed his belief that PSG will have no trouble against Real Sociedad in the Champions League.

Roy stated, “If PSG is ready for Real Sociedad? I don’t see how Real Sociedad could resist these flashes of brilliance, I feel they are gaining momentum. Of course, we will be supporting PSG and hope they advance to the next round.”

Additionally, Roy defended his player, Lilian Brassier, who was guilty of a serious foul on Kylian Mbappé. “I don’t think it was a moment of rage tonight. Unfortunately, he thought he had the ball, but it was too fast… He lacked discernment because he shouldn’t have committed. He already had a yellow card and had made a questionable foul five minutes earlier.”

“I’m not going to blame him either because it’s so fast-paced on the pitch. Errors in judgment… you think you have the ball, but you don’t. Lilian, I know him, he’s not a bad guy. There was absolutely no intention to harm. He’s still a young central defender with a lot of potential and qualities, but he continues to learn in every match,” concluded Eric Roy.
