PSG to leave the proceeds to small club Revel
The Coupe de France is also an opportunity for small clubs to improve their financial health.
Paris Saint-Germain faces US Revel this Sunday at 8:45 PM in the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France. According to its tradition, the capital club plans to donate the entire proceeds to the Regional 1 club, which hosts this match at the Pierre-Fabre stadium in Castres.
The French Football Federation’s regulations stipulate that both teams must share the match proceeds after deducting organization costs and VAT. Generally, the payment aims to compensate for infrastructure deficits or improve the reception during the match.
Paris Saint-Germain had already made this choice in January 2023 during its match against Pays de Cassel (7-0) at the Bollaert stadium in Lens, although the amount was not disclosed. On Sunday, nearly 10,000 spectators are expected to attend the confrontation between the small club from Haute-Garonne and the recent winner of the Trophy of Champions.
