Marquinhos commented on PSG’s draw, which pits them against Barcelona in the Champions League quarterfinals.

He is one of the few remaining players who experienced the “remontada” in 2017. Marquinhos, the captain of PSG, will face Barcelona again in the Champions League quarterfinals. Following the draw, the Parisian captain shared his initial thoughts with the club’s official channel.

“The Champions League draw is always a special moment. FC Barcelona is a historic club, a team to respect. It’s an opponent we’ve faced many times in the past, with good and not-so-good moments. We will prepare ourselves in the best possible way.

“I don’t think there’s a favorite in this matchup. It will be important to study our opponent to understand how they play, but we primarily focus on ourselves. We’ve shown our strength and values during these two good performances against Real Sociedad.

“Now we need to continue working. I believe the coach will also want to address some details that can make a difference by then. We must continue, focus on our work, and I am convinced that we can achieve great things.”
